Theme Parks

The theme parks are in easy reach from our villa, all you have to do is go along the US 27 until the I 4.The parks are situated off the I 4.

Disney has four main parks, the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Disneys Hollywood Studios, plus two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach to visit. There is Downtown Disney which has live entertainment, restaurants and shops for all your disney presents. You will also find Disney Quest and the famous Cirque Du Soleil here.

Universal have two main parks situated by each other with City Walks in between them. City Walks has restaurants, shops, cinema and night time entertainment.

Seaworld now has three parks to visit, Seaworld itself, Discovery Cove and new for 2008 a water park called Aquatica.

For those who love the rides try Busch Gardens at Tampa.

Have a brillant day at Kennedy Space Center and take off in a shuttle!

Golf

Florida is well known for some of the best golf courses in the world. Calabay Parc at Tower Lake is right in the middle of the best, with Southern Dunes, Orange County National Golf Centre and Champions Gate to name a few close by.

Disney have five professional courses open to the public and for the non-professionals there is the Disneys Winter Summerland Mini Golf and Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf courses.

There are lots of crazy golf courses around Orlando to try.

Florida is a shoppers paradise. It has plenty for everyones taste. If you want Tiffany, Dior, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Cartier, to name just a few try the Mall at Millenia. There are several outlet factories, the best being the Premium Mall and the Florida Mall. Not forgetting next to Calabay Parc at Tower Lakes is Walmart, this supermarket has everything! There are hundreds of restaurants for all palates, including TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesday, Rain Forest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Tony Romas, Red Lobster, Gaylords and the Hard Rock Cafe.

A meal to remember for all the family try the character meals in the theme parks, dine with Shamu, have tea with Winnie the Pooh and Friends in the Crystal Palace or dine with the Princesses in the castle.

Beaches

The villa is in a great postion on the US 27 for reaching the beautiful white sandy beaches Florida is famous for, you can pack a picnic and go for the day.

On the west coast of Florida just past Tampa is Clearwater Beach, St Petersburg and Sarasota.

There is a string of barrier islands with fine white sandy beaches line the Gulf of Mexico along the Pinellas coast. They start with the renowed Clearwater Beach to the north and parade south with Sand Key Park, Indian Rocks Beach, Madeira Beach, St Pete Beach, Pass-a-Grille and Fort de Soto Park.

St Petersburg and its surrounding area has a wonderful dual personality. On the west side facing the Gulf of Mexico is St Petersburg beach and a series of beautiful sister beaches stretching north along the coast. On the opposite side facing Tampa Bay is towntown St Petersburg the cultural center of this area.

Sarasota is south of Tampa Bay the area has some excellent beaches out on the barrier islands of Longboat Key, Lido Key and Siesta Key.

If you want to go to the East coast there is the world famous Daytona Beach.

Daytona Beach is actually a collection of a number of beach communities that join to create a large seaside park This stretches from Ormond-By-the-Sea to the north down to Ponce Inlet to the south.

For those who like the fast lane go to the Daytona International Speedway which is one of the finest motor-racing facilities in the country where many NASCAR, auto and motorcycle races are held including the famous Daytona 500.
